Grades

SEMESTER 2 - NOW FINAL

FINAL Sem 2 Grades are here. Look at the "SEM 2 GRADE" for the grade that will show up on your report card (it factors in whether you got to drop your lowest test score). This is stated both at the bottom of the "Summary Item" section as well as the bottom of the "Term 2 Assignments" section.

SEMESTER 1
Sem 1 grades are now final.
Grade Report #1 includes all tests in the final grade calculation
Grade Report #2 has the lowest test grade dropped in the final grade calculation

  • Dropping Scores
    • Assignment #5 on the grade report indicates whether you get to drop your lowest test grade.
    • Having the lowest test grade dropped is a reward for those students who have made it a priority to come to class on time every day and to appropriately report and clear any absences they may have with the attendance office.
    • If you have a combined total of 3 or less unexcused tardies and unexcused absences for the period you have my class (as recorded by the attendance office) you get the privelege of dropping your lowest test score. Refer to grade report #2 for your final sem 1 grade.
    • If you have 4 or more, you do not get this privelege. Refer to grade report #1 for your final semester grade.
  • Rounding
    • All final grades are already rounded to the nearest whole number.
    • If you have an 89%, you have a B+, period.
    • Please do not ask me to round your grade up, as this would mean I would literally be changing your grade for no reason. If I could raise your grade for no reason, I could also lower your grade for no reason. I would never do either of these.
